Ramadan passes quickly, and most of us begin it intending a khatma, charity and regular prayer, then discover in the last ten nights that we do not know where we stand. The problem is not resolve but the lack of a gauge showing your pace each day.
This board puts your worship and your table budget on one page: you tick ✔ or ✘ in each cell and enter pages, charity and spending, and it works out your prayer rate, longest fasting streak, khatma progress and what you need daily to finish, warning you if you fall behind pace.
Who is it for?

Formulas used
Needed daily = (target pages − pages read) ÷ days leftPrayer rate = number of ✔ ÷ (5 × days elapsed)Khatma progress = pages read ÷ target pagesFasting streak = consecutive days marked ✔
Worked example from the sheet itself
On day 12: eleven fasting days and a prayer rate of 93%.
- Read 223 of 604 pages, so 37% progress.
- The pace needed is 241 pages by day 12, so the reader is behind and needs 21.2 pages a day to finish.
- Charity is 975 and food spending is 95% of its budget.
- The longest fasting streak is six days before the day that broke it.
Pace, not totals
A khatma in thirty days means about twenty pages a day, and if you read less in the first week the rest gets heavier. The board compares what you read with where you should be today and tells you what the remaining days require instead of surprising you at month end.
The last ten nights
Days from the twenty-first get a special colour and the odd nights are marked because Laylat al-Qadr is sought in them. It is a visual reminder to raise your pace when effort increases.
Table budget
Many people spend more on food in Ramadan without noticing. The board compares your spending with a daily budget you set so you can adjust before the month ends.
Regular charity
Recording charity daily makes your total goal clear and encourages consistency, and you can write the good deed in its own column so it stays a record you can review.
Tips for best results
- Read a small fixed amount after each prayer.
- Log your day before sleep, not at week end.
- Give each family member a board.
- Do not despair over a missed day; return to pace the next day.
